Barcelona in and incredible city for partying, no doubt about that, there are many nightclubs in Barcelona for all kinds of music and tastes. One thing you will soon learn about Barcelona is it's a city that doesn't sleep. The Spanish eat late, drink late and go out very late. At the weekend don't be surprised if night clubs Barcelona are pretty much empthy until at least 01:00 - 02:00 in the morning, and they go until about 06:00. Thank goodness for the siesta! Barcelona's nightlife is much in keeping with the city itself, trendy, varied and sometimes espectacular. Even if you aren't really a clubber at heart its worth going out to at least one nigh club just to see what's on offer, and remember there are more and more "lounge" clubs springing up if you like the take your drinks whilst reclining! Most of the clubs do not have a set price. It varies according to the night, and who is playing, many are free before a certain time (usually 01:00) plus if you walk around you are likely to be given a flyer that gets you in free all night. You can pick up flyers in shops, bars and some cafes have a rack of flyers. These usually eighter entitle you to a free drink, 2 for 1 drink, or free entrance. In the case of some clubs the flyer people actually stand near the club itself but you can find them all over the city including down the Ramblas and in the Barri Cotic area. When the sunsets, here are a few clubs to enjoy the nightlife in Barcelona. Opium Mar Opium Mas is one of the most popular nightclubs in Barcelona. Located right on the beach. Opium, as it is more commonly known, is a fancy club with all the goods. Arrive at around 2 AM to get the entire feel for the place, complete with extravagant stage dancers dressed in flamboyant costumes, and drinks that are sure to knock your socks off. The inside of the club is decorated in a modern and classy style, and has lots of seating should your feet get tired form all the dancing. This os definitely a club wort checking out on your stay in Barcelona! TIP: Opium is a little strict - leave the sneackers at home and put on your Sunday best to get into this club. Catwalk Just around the corner from Opium Mar is another spectacular nightclub, Catwalk.Club Catwalk is a two story venue situated under the Hotel Arts. The bottom floor of the club is usually dedicated to house and techno music, with international DJs provoking everyone to tear up the dance floor. The second floor, called the 'skyroom' is similar, but often home to a few more tourists, who can jam the night away to R&B and Hip Hop. The club is open from Thursday to Sunday until 6 AM, offering party-goers an experience they will never forget. TIP: Arrive before 1 AM for a guaranteed discount on entry prices! Shoko An Asian Mediterranean fusion restaurnat by day, crazy club filled with celebrities by night. Just a stroll down the beach front, next to Opium Mar, youwill stumble across Shoko, another one of the Barcelona's wild nightclubs. The club boasts its reputation for holding after-parties for many famous artists such as Madona, Coldplay, Lady Gaga and The Killers. Shoko's themed parties make it a hotspot for clubbers on the beach in saarch of the venue filled with banging music, sweet drinks, and originality. TOP TIP: Come early and grab some dinner before the partying begins. You can even reserve a bad (yes, a bed) to seat on, to enjoy a culturally diffrent dining experience.
If you're not as into the club scene as some, but still want the beachside atmosphere, you must check out Icebarcelona. Located on the coast in between Shoko and Pacha clubs, the Barcelona ice bar is completely decorated with, you guessed it, ice. The bar is kept at a temperature of -5° C and the cover charge of 15 € includes a jacket, gloves, and a drink. This venue is a bit more relaxed than other clubs, but provides a once in a lifetime experience, as you sip on your drink in chairs made completely of ice. Minors can enter this joint up until 11:00 PM, and the bar serves non-alcoholic beverages, so they do not have to miss out on enjoying the refreshments too. TOP TIP: A great experience for a family trip to Barcelona. Conclusion Whether you're headed out until 6 AM, or just going to grab an after dinner drink, the nightlife and night clubs Barcelona is definitelly worth checking out. A cultural experience in itself, partying the night away on the beach is definitelly something you don't want to miss out on during your stay here in the city. With many Barcelona apartments located in, or near Port Olimpic, there is absolutely no excuse not to take part in the fun only minutes away from your doorstep.
