Conserving Mother Earth: Things You Need to Know About Non-Renewable Energy |
Posted: October 6, 2017 |
You probably have heard this several times that the earth is in its crucial state when it comes to everyone's insatiable consumption of fossil fuels. The fact that the non-renewable energy (natural gas, coal, crude oil, and more) releases toxic gases into the atmosphere, the earth's future (a million years from now or probably shorter) is in deep jeopardy. Using non-renewable energy may not sound bad, although it may have a big contribution to global warming; there are a lot of reasons why humans need to use it as a resource for human survival.
But what is non-renewable energy and what makes it harmful to human existence? What is non-renewable energy? Energy exists naturally. Some may exist infinitely while others may take thousands or millions of years to naturally recur again, for instance, non-renewable energy. Fossil fuels such as crude oil, natural gas, and coal are examples of non-renewable energy. These resources are finite unlike renewable energy such as using solar panels; they are likely to cease to exist in the future. In fact, according to a UK study, having an estimated demand and consumption of crude oil of 11 billion tonnes per year, it is predicted that the crude oil will be at risk by the year 2088. What makes non-renewable energy bad? Not all about non-renewable energy is bad, what makes it unjust is the insatiable demand. To consume non-renewable energy, it is burned. Then its by-products such as nitrous oxide, Sulphur dioxide, and other greenhouse gases when emitted to the earth's atmosphere cause a photochemical pollution, acid rains, and other global warming effects. Although, people knew everything about carbon emission and its major effects to the environment, the challenge of breaking people's practice of using non-renewable energy frequently can be considered as an uphill battle. Also, in order to sustain a fast-growing population, creating, recreating, and using technology had caused several varied effects to the environment. Additionally, while everyone and every country seek for industrialization, it is a fact that it had led to the reduction of natural resources. The increased demand for non-renewable energy is much more dangerous than its regular consumption. In other words, people are at fault and not its "usage". How to solve challenges with non-renewable energy? Clean energy is possible even when non-renewable energy consumption is available. How? This is by adding renewable energy to your daily energy consumption. The renewable energy is usually collected from natural infinite resources such as wind, rain and sunlight. If you want to help mother earth, you may use Austin solar for your house or business consumption. Additionally, unlike using the regular electricity, adding solar panels can reduce your electricity bill significantly. In a conclusion, it is a fact that eliminating non-renewable energy consumption remains unrealistic in this growing population. However, reducing its consumption is possible by using alternative ways, such as using solar panels and more. Additionally, what most people need is an in-depth information dissemination about proper use of non-renewable energy.
