2. Level Up To Greater Rewards {753}
Shping is the world’s largest product database that offers cash rewards for using its mobile app to scan product barcodes, leave product reviews and add new products to the database. It’s an easy way to make money from your regular grocery shopping, but to fast track your earnings, it’s best to upgrade to a higher level such as Gold or Platinum.
The simple equation for increasing your earnings on Shping is to be active. The more active a user you are, the more likely you will level up and ultimately earn more rewards. There are 5 levels on the Shping app: Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum; with Platinum being the most coveted level because you can earn up to 10 times that of Basic users. Here’s what you need to know about each level:
Basic Level
Everyone starts on Basic. There are no minimum requirements to stay on this level, but you will remain on this level if you do not use Shping regularly. On this level, you earn 1 cent (AUD) per scan and 2 cents (AUD) for a product review.
Bronze Level
This is the entry level to higher earnings. Once you’ve tried Bronze, you will never want to go back to Basic. On this level, you earn 2 cents (AUD) per scan and 4 cents (AUD) for a product review. That’s double the earnings on Basic!
To reach or maintain this level, you need to do the following:
- Scan a minimum of 20 products in a month
- Be active for a minimum of 5 days per month
Silver Level
If you’re like most Australians, you typically go to the supermarket 3 times a week. That’s 3 major opportunities to scan and earn rewards. On this level, you earn 3 cents (AUD) per scan and 6 cents (AUD) for a product review. If you purchase on average 35 items each trip, you could earn $3.15 cash back in a week, just for scans.
To reach or maintain this level, you need to do the following:
- Scan a minimum of 80 products in a month
- Be active for a minimum of 10 days per month
Gold Level
Now we’re getting to the serious shopper. This is the first level where you have to complete a minimum of 5 reviews to level up. If you’re shopping up a storm, this should be easy to achieve because of all the products you’ve scanned and purchased. On this level, you earn 5 cents (AUD) per scan and 10 cents (AUD) for a product review. The earning power here is particularly good - you will earn AUD$11.00 for the minimum scans and reviews required.
To reach or maintain this level, you need to do the following:
- Scan a minimum of 200 products in a month
- Be active for a minimum of 20 days per month
- Write 5 reviews (must be approved)
Platinum Level
This is the toughest level to reach and maintain. On this level, you earn a whopping 10 cents (AUD) per scan and 20 cents (AUD) for a product review. Again, you have to also write a number of reviews to qualify (or maintain) your level. If you can stick to Platinum, you are a super shopper and especially a super scanner. Better still, you will be a super earner. You will earn a minimum of AUD$32 for your scanning and reviewing efforts.
To reach or maintain this level, you need to do the following:
- Scan a minimum of 300 products in a month
- Be active for a minimum of 25 days per month
- Write 10 reviews (must be approved)
Boosted Level
Now, if you think you won’t reach Platinum or Gold because you don’t shop that often, never fear - boosted level is your answer. Boosted level is a temporary boost to a higher level like Platinum that gets unlocked when you scan a particular product. This is usually a featured product that has a special promotion running with Shping. Keep an eye on your emails to find these special offers. The boosted level can last 24 hours or even 2 weeks - whatever the length, you can go on a scanning and reviewing frenzy to earn higher rewards during that period. Cool, huh?
Note: the coin and reward earning listed above are for Australia, Singapore, Russia and China only. They may differ in your region or country.
