Vancouver is a destination that travellers will adore heading to because it offers a range of brilliant outdoor spots. Whether tourists want to head to the mountains or the hills, they will be excited to be in this excellent Canadian city. There are numerous swimming venues in the North Shore area of Vancouver that are found outside. Many travellers hike through this area in the summer months before they take a refreshing dip in the many glacial pools. The city has a number of them to choose from so travellers must add them to their itinerary. One of the best swimming holes is called Granny’s Cove that is located within the well-known tourist area of Capilano Canyon. This destination is actually close to many other attractions, but the cove is located away from the bustling parts of the region. The glacial waters are certainly cool in temperature so tourists must be prepared before jumping in to wade through. This area is amazing for sharing a picnic with fellow travelling companions and it is also brilliant for just relaxing in the sunshine admiring the beautiful natural scenery. Tourists will easily be able to find luxury hotels in Vancouver close to top attractions. The L’Hermitage Vancouver Hotel is near many of the hiking areas and swimming holes, as it is based in the centre of the city. Its wonderful rooms and suites contain a range of modern amenities including a large plasma television, Nespresso coffee machine and iPod docking station. Tourists will appreciate the hotel’s top business centre, fitness studio and steam room and Jacuzzi. The top on-site eaterie of L’Orangerie Dining Room and Lounge serves a mouth-watering breakfast and offers a superb afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, raisin scones and French preserves. There is a magnificent outdoor garden and terrace at the property, and tourists can also hire bikes to see the city and the lovely Stanley Park. Whyte Lake is a fantastic place to venture to that is a lovely refuge hidden in the hills that overlooks Horseshoe Bay. Tourists can head out on a short hike through West Vancouver’s Douglas fir forest to reach this destination. As this is an easy spot to get to it can get quite busy over the weekends, but travellers should not be deterred as it is a fun place to be with the crowds. There is a deck around the lake that is ideal for sunbathing and this swimming hole is considered perfect for families or large groups of friends heading out together. Mystery Lake is considered one of the best alpine swimming holes in the city, and is located on Mount Seymour in North Vancouver. It is accessed from the main Mount Seymour car park and offers a short but challenging uphill climb to the lake. The 30 Foot Pool in Lynn Canyon Lake is popular with North Vancouver residents, and has shaded rocks that help tourists stay out of the sun in the hotter part of the afternoon. Cabin Lake is a stunning spot that is the reward once a person has climbed Eagle Bluffs, and is a beautiful place to unwind before heading back down the mountain. Travellers will adore these destinations where they can exercise, relax and admire the top views in the wonderful vacation spot of Vancouver.
