These are the two routes you can do:
Route 1; stops at Prado Museum, Puerta de Alcalá, Salamanca district, Plaza de Colón, Plaza de Cibeles, Gran Vía, Plaza de España, Templo de Debod, Royal Theater, Royal Palace, Puerta de Toledo, Basilica of San Francisco el Grande, Almudena Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Círculo de Bellas Artes, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Reina Sofía Museum and Botanical Garden.
Route 2: stops at Plaza Neptuno, Plaza de Cibeles, Plaza de Colón, Outdoor Sculpture Museum, Museum of Natural Sciences, Nuevos Ministerios, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, CSIC, Lázaro Galdiano Museum, Serrano Street, National Archaeological Museum, Puerta de Alcalá, Calle Alcalá, Puerta del Sol and Plaza de las Cortes.
At each of these stops the tour buses arrive every eight or nine minutes during the spring and summer months, while the rest of the year the frequency is around the quarter hour. You can change from one route to another at the stops where they coincide.
