Toronto in a Day |

There are many locations in Toronto that are simply a joy to visit. These places often evoke the sense of feeling at home; the people who live here have the same effect. The Toronto Islands, the Royal Ontario Museum, and Fort York are a few of the places that you need to see when you visit. But what if you can only afford to spend a day in this wonderful place? No problem. Here are the places you need to visit during your one-day stay: Toronto Islands After a 25-minute ferry, you’re going to be greeted by three islands (Centre, Ward's and Algonquin). These islands are interconnected, so you shouldn’t have to worry about riding the ferry multiple times. Within Centre Island, you’ll find expansive picnic areas, beaches, sporting rentals and the Centreville Amusement Park. This little place feels so much different from the city. There’s green everywhere and you’re also rewarded with a magnificent view of the city’s skyline. This is truly a great place to go if you want to get away from the city life. Harbourfront Centre Harbourfront Centre is located in downtown Toronto, about a half-mile away from the CN Tower. This 10-acre area was once an abandoned shipping facility that was converted into one of the busiest attractions in the city. Here, you’ll find Sugar Beach, the Toronto Music Garden, and a wide variety of theatres. Over 4,000 events are held annually in Harbourfront Centre and about 17 million people visit the area yearly.
There simply isn’t any other sport more associated with Canada more than hockey. A common misconception is that hockey is Canada’s official sport. And we can’t really blame you for thinking so. Hockey is one of, if not the most celebrated sport in Canada after all. Within this 65,000 square foot structure, you’ll find the prime collection of hockey memorabilia. You simply cannot visit Canada without getting a taste of hockey. St. Lawrence Market Wherever you go, you’ve never truly gotten properly acquainted with the place if you haven’t tried any of the food there — and St. Lawrence Market is the best place to go if you want to try the food that Toronto has to offer. The market sells everything from cured gourmet meats to seasonal produce from farmers. You simply cannot let the day go by without first having tried the peameal bacon sandwich from Carousel Bakery.
Finally, after a day’s worth of exploring, you’re going to want to visit one of Toronto’s most cherished hangouts. The Distillery District was once the headquarters of Canada’s largest distilling company. Now it is littered (in a good way) with art galleries, performance platforms, cafes, restaurants, and a brewery. While these may all sound enticing, the thing you visit this place for is the ambiance. Visiting this area feels like taking a glimpse in Toronto’s history. Now, obviously, you’re going to need a reliable mode of transportation to get to these places. If you truly want to have a good time, rent a party bus from partybusrentaltoronto.ca. These professionals know the area like the back of their hands and they may even suggest more places to visit in between these places. Nothing beats touring the area with a local to guide you through.
