Your device => VPN1 => VPN2 => Internet
As long as your connection is traveling in the first stage of the waterfall, it benefits from double encryption and double security. Once it leaves the waterfall, it falls back on the security of the VPN connection alone.
Some VPN providers such as VeePN do not allow cascading VPN with their VPN service, as cascading VPN is commonly used for illegal internet activities and Le VPN does not support or allow that, a point that also appears in their Terms and Conditions of Service. For informational purposes, we will also describe how a cascading VPN works.
How to Set Up a Cascading VPN
Setting up a nested waterfall is very easy and can be done in several ways. Whichever method you choose, you will need to have an internet provider, an established connection in your home or office, and an account with a VPN provider.
Let me assure you, creating a waterfall is not as difficult as some websites and forums would have you believe. Your information is old and outdated. Yes, it's as complicated as they make you believe, but, with today's technology, it's as easy as point and click; you don't need to have any other knowledge of the Internet other than to connect and surf. The long list of complicated steps to make it work is now built into most VPN provider platforms.
Method One:
- If you don't already have a VPN account, you'll need to get one. Once it is set up, you will need to get your username and password from your account profile page in order to connect to the VPN servers. I copied and pasted mine into a document file for easy access.
- Display the list of countries with the VPN servers.
- Decide which country you want to use for the first jump and then choose a server with the protocol you want to use. You will find more information about the different VPN protocols below.
- Click on the server of your choice, enter your username and password and you will receive a message when the connection is made. This is your first jump.
- For the second jump, go to the country list again and choose another server to connect to.
- Click on that server, re-enter your username and password. The second connection is established.
- Browse and search the internet with the highest level of security that can provide the best method on the market. This method is good for a single device and can be used with any WiFi or LAN connection.
Method Two:
Buy a router for your home or office with VPN technology already installed on it. This means that every time you connect to the internet, the connection will be automatically routed through a VPN tunnel without having to configure it. Of course, you will have to buy a VPN service and Le VPN will be happy to help you with that, they have partnered with Flash Routers and SABAI Technology to provide routers with VPN installed .
- Turn on your computer and download the VPN software.
- Display the list of countries with VPN servers and choose one.
- Click to connect, enter your username and password.
Now the VPN tunnel is cascading from your computer through the tunnel created by your router. Surf at your leisure. This method is good for a home or business environment where LANs can be protected by a VPN and individual devices can have the added security of a nested VPN. The only drawback is that you will have to purchase more than one VPN account, as most VPN providers such as Le VPN do not allow cascading VPN or a dual VPN connection (although two simultaneous connections are allowed, but on two different devices, such as your smartphone and your computer).
Method Three:
- Buy two enabled VPN routers and purchase a VPN account.
- Set up a nested configuration with the routers, using different VPN servers for each.
- Voila! You and any devices that connect to the Internet through your router/Wi-Fi will automatically connect to a cascading VPN router.
- Surf at ease knowing that you, your family, your business and all your devices with Internet of Things are as safe and anonymous as they can be.
Please note that cascading VPN does not offer much of an additional value, as a secure VPN connection from VeePN is sufficient to protect your Internet activities, as well as individuals, families or businesses. A single VeePN account can protect all devices using a router's configuration without using cascading VPN.
