The Netgear wireless range extender is of great use when, we want to extend the Wi-Fi range of our existing home Wi-Fi router. We just have to install it with our home router and we could enjoy seamless Wi-Fi all across our home. But, sometimes after using the Netgear wireless range extender for a while it stops working. It does not give us the internet access or sometimes, the power LED does not light up. It could be due to several reasons like due to the malfunction of our home Wi-Fi router or any other. # Checking the connections The first and the most important thing we have to check is to make sure all the wires or connections are set properly. We have to check the power cable of Netgear wireless range extender whether its properly connected or not. IF not, we have to make it right. IF its connected properly then, we have to check the status of power LED that is what is the colour of power LED. Is it red, green or amber? If the power LED would be solid green on the Netgear wireless range extender, it would mean the hardware IS working fine. # The power LED should not be Red If the power LED on the Netgear wireless range extender would be red, it would mean, there is some problem in the software or settings. To correct this, we have to reset the Netgear wireless range extender so, it could come back to factory defaults. To reset the Netgear wireless range extender, we have to press the reset button at the back or side until all the lights will start flashing. Then, we have to wait for couple of minutes and it will get reset, after that, we just have to setup the Netgear wireless range extender like we first bought it and it will start working. # Checking router settings If everything would be right from the Netgear wireless range extender then, we have to check all the settings on our home Wi-Fi router. We have to access our router login page. After that, we have to go on the wireless settings and we have to check if our Netgear wireless range extender is on the list of added Wi-Fi devices or not. If the Netgear wireless range extender would not be there, we have to add it manually. After adding the Netgear wireless range extender manually, it will start working fine. http://www.mywifiext-net.com/
