The 50 Best Concealed Carry Guns in 2018 |
Posted: January 19, 2018 |
Why Are These The Best Concealed Carry Guns?I’ve put together a list containing 50 of the best Concealed Carry guns on the market today. This list is primarily based on what gun models we see our customers ordering holsters for the most. I looked at tens of thousands of orders to find the most requested gun models. There are a lot of great concealed carry guns that are not on this list. Obviously, guns like the H&K P7M8 or USP Compact are amazing guns. We just don’t sell nearly as many holsters for those models. It’s most likely because of price & availability of those weapons. I hope not to offend too many people who don’t see their epic pistols in this list. One Size Does Not Fit AllI hope you notice that not all the handguns on this list are small. There are plenty of people who start their day (myself included) by strapping on a normal sized handgun. Don’t get me wrong. There are days that my primary carry pistol is a Single Stack 9mm (like the PPS M2). In addition, I always have a small gun in my front pocket. However, more days than not, I prefer to carry a bigger pistol. Based on the data used to compile this list, I am not alone. My Short ListNow if you’re the type that thinks it’s disgraceful that everyone who shows up to a contest gets a “participation trophy”, rest easy. I’ve listed my personal favorites toward the bottom of this article if you’re curious about which guns are a cut above the rest. You can call them the 10 best Concealed Carry guns. Just FYI, the gun costs were obtained from https://gun.deals 1911The greatest military the world has ever seen carried the 1911 for several decades until the mid 1980s. It has the proven stopping power of the 45acp cartridge. It’s also a fairly thin gun which makes it good for concealed carry. Just know that you’ll very likely either love or hate its manual of arms. It’s generally carried “Cocked & Locked”. Meaning, you’ll draw it from the holster, drop the safety, and find a sweet hair trigger waiting to be pressed. Although the 5” barreled versions can be heavy, the 3” Defender series pistols are a bit lighter. 1911 HolstersCaliber: Take your pick Beretta 92 CompactThe Beretta 92 replaced the 1911 in the US military in the 1980s. Beretta has made many different versions since then. The Beretta 92 Compact is the best version for concealed carry. It’s shorter barrel and grip make it easier to conceal than the full sized versions. The Beretta 92 and its variants are extremely reliable due to its open slide design. Follow up shots are easy as well due to its weight and single action trigger. At 32 ounces, it weighs almost twice as much as some very small pistols. That weight makes it a little less comfortable to carry but much more comfortable to shoot. Beretta 92 Compact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Beretta PX4 CompactThe PX4 Compact is barely big enough to allow a full grip while being small enough to easily conceal. It’s a medium sized gun that handles itself very well at the range. The rotating barrel absorbs some of the recoil. Less recoil = faster follow up shots. The PX4 series from Beretta is a futuristic-looking pistol with some modern innovations under the hood. Beretta PX4 Compact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Beretta PX4 SubcompactThe Beretta PX4 Subcompact (the smallest PX4) fells bigger in the hand than other guns of similar size. It could be due to its superior ergonomics. It holds a fair amount of ammo for its size and conceals as easily as it shoots. Many people love short barreled guns like this one for appendix carry. Beretta PX4 Subcompact HolstersCaliber: 9mm CZ P-01The CZ P-01 is based on the bulletproof CZ-75 design with a lighter weight aluminum frame, shorter barrel and shorter grip. Its ergonomics are of legendary status. All gun makers should strive for this level of ergonomic satisfaction. It’s much easier to carry the lighter P-01 than the CZ-75 on which it’s based. However, you still get the great shooting dynamics the CZ-75 is known for. CZ P-01 HolstersCaliber: 9mm CZ PCRThe CZ PCR is very similar to the CZ-75 Compact. However, it has a lightweight aluminum frame just as the P-01 does. The difference between the PCR and the P-01 is that the PCR doesn’t have a rail making it a little sleeker and easier to conceal. CZ PCR HolstersCaliber: 9mm CZ RAMIThe CZ RAMI is based on the time-tested CZ-75. It has a lighter aluminum frame, a short 3” barrel, and a flush fit magazine that manages to cram in 10 rounds of 9mm. Also, you can add an extended mag that holds 14 rounds. It has enough heft to handle hot 9mm ammo pretty well. All while maintaining a small & light weight package that makes Concealed Carry a breeze. CZ RAMI HolstersCaliber: 9mm Canik TP9SAThe Canik TP9SA has been gaining a ton of popularity online from gun bloggers and shooters in forums. It’s often compared to the Glock 17. Most reviewers don’t think it compares equally to the Glock’s greatness but for $350 it’s a great buy. It seems to be reliable as well. It’s a bigger gun than most would want to carry. However, we ship out large numbers of holsters to Canik fans who disagree with that notion. Those fans might also point out just how comforting it is having 19 rounds of 9mm on their side. Canik TP9SA HolstersCaliber: 9mm EAA SAR K2PThis is the EAA SAR K2P and it’s made in Turkey. Yep Turkey. Don’t let that fool you though. It’s a pretty good shooter. It’s a CZ-75 clone with a polymer frame. It shoots great due to its low bore axis and excellent ergonomics. It feels really good in the hand. Reviews have been largely positive. At under $300, it’s no wonder people are ordering holsters for this thing in droves. EAA SAR K2P HolstersCaliber: 9mm EAA SAR B6P 3.8”The EAA SAR B6P is very similar to the SAR K2P. It’s a CZ-75 clone with a polymer frame. It’s grip is a little smaller than the K2P making it a little easier to conceal. Some say the K2P shoots a little better. These babies are sold for under $300 which is why they’re fairly popular. EAA SAR B6P HolstersCaliber: 9mm FNH FNS-9 CompactThis one brings FNH’s pedigree to the Concealed Carry market. Nobody disputes how nice the FNS-9 Compact is in every measurable category. It’s the perfect size for concealed carry while still carrying 12 rounds in the magazine. The pinky extension (included on one of the mags) allows for a full grip. It has a nice trigger, shoots well and is dead reliable. Its great ergonomics are loved by many as well. The FNS 9 Compact is a concealed carriers dream pistol. FNS-9 Compact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Glock 19 Gen 3 & 4This is the Gold Standard by which all other Concealed Carry pistols are judged. The Glock 19 is often touted as one of the Best Concealed Carry Guns available due to how well rounded it is. Just try to compare your favorite ccw pistol to the venerable 19 and wait for the questions that will come your way. Does it hold 15 rounds of 9mm? Is it as light? Can you get a full combat grip on the pistol? Is it absolutely reliable? Can it compare to Glock’s simplicity? Is it slim? Can I get accessories for it? The Glock 19 is very impressive. First of all, although it handles like a full sized weapon, it weighs barely over 23 ounces. Secondly, it’s not easy to fit 15 rounds into a small pistol. Finally, when you press the trigger, you can be certain it will go bang. The icing on the cake is that it’s not terribly expensive. Glock 19 Gen 3 & 4 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Glock 19 Gen 5The all new Glock 19 Gen 5 is here and it’s amazing. It sports greater accuracy and ergonomics. The trigger feel is better as well. You’ll immediately notice the absence of finger grooves! This should not come as a surprise considering the codenamed Glock 17M for the FBI was missing the finger grooves as well. In addition to that, finger-groove-removal was one of the top after-market modifications. Needless to say, Glock saw the writing on the wall and lopped off the finger grooves to suit their user base. The improved accuracy via the Marksmen barrel is a welcome change as well. Glock 19 Gen 5 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Glock 26The Glock 26 is an even shorter version of the Glock 17 than the compact Glock 19 is. Although you can only get 2 fingers on the grip, pinky extensions and extended mags can be had that make the grip more comfortable. The shorter barrel and grip make Concealed Carry very easy. It features Glock’s famous reliability and ease of use to boot. Glock 26 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Glock 43The new Glock 43 is a blockbuster for good reason. Concealed Carriers love single stack pistols. This is evident in the enormous popularity of the S&W Shield and Springfield Armory XDs. Glock fans have asked Glock for this pistol for years. It small enough to slide into your pocket if necessary. However, it really shines in a good IWB holster (Inside the Waistband). In a good holster, it’s small enough to completely disappear. Glock 43 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Glock 30 & 30SThe Glock 30 is based on the very popular Full Sized Glock 21 in 45acp. Of course it has been chopped down for easier concealment. What’s amazing about the Glock 30 is the capacity. A compact pistol that holds up to 13 rounds of 45acp is rare and VERY impressive. This pistol has stopping power and fire power. There’s a variant of the Glock 30 with a slimmer slide (from the Glock 36) on its frame. It’s the Glock 30S. It’s a little slimmer & lighter (i.e. easier to conceal). Both are great guns for Concealed Carry. Glock 30 HolstersCaliber: 45ACP HK P30SKHere’s a great Concealed Carry shooter for those who believe H&K is the crème of the crop. The HK P30SK is a smaller version of the Full Size P30. Its grip is more adjustable than just about any pistol you’ve handled before. It can be configured to fit just about any size or shape of hand perfectly. Not only does it have the swappable back strap that other pistols have started to incorporate, it actually has swappable side panels as well. It is a great size for Concealed Carry & a great shooter as well. When you consider how reliable it is (it is an H&K after all) and how sweet the ergonomics are, this pistol’s popularity is no surprise. HK P30SK HolstersCaliber: 9mm HK VP9The HK VP9 has shown how capable H&K is of producing fine firearms. Almost everyone loves this pistol. It’s ergonomics and trigger are universally loved. It has the ergonomics of the great P30 but incorporates a great striker fired trigger that loyal H&K fans have been asking for. It has the swappable back straps and side panels that people enjoyed on the P30. In addition, it was released with another surprising ergonomic feature: charging supports. Charging supports are small wings on the back of the slide that make racking the slide faster and easier. You may be a little surprised to see a full sized gun like the VP9 on a list of the best Concealed Carry guns. After all, it’s bigger than many will want for a Concealed Carry pistol. However, we sell concealment holsters for VP9 pistols in droves. Therefore, I know many people find it just fine for concealment. HK VP9 HolstersCaliber: 9mm
HK VP9SKThe HK VP9SK is a continuation of a good thing in the VP series from HK. It has all the qualities that VP9 fans love: great trigger, ergonomics, and handling. It holds 10 rounds of 9mm. HK announced 13 and 15 round magazines for the VP9SK will be coming in November. The useful charging handles remain on the subcompact version of the VP9. Now Concealed Carriers have a smaller option for Concealed Carry. This is the only subcompact handgun on the market that has swappable backstraps and swappable lateral grip panels. The HK VP9SK also has completely ambidextrous controls. Throw in the fact that the the flat recoil spring reduces recoil and it’s clear to see that this is a subcompact that shooters will enjoy on the range and concealed everday in a sweet Kydex holster. HK VP9SK HolstersCaliber: 9mm Honor Guard SubcompactThe Honor Guard Subcompact is the first pistol released by newcomer Honor Defense. It’s a great pistol for that’s built specifically for concealed carry. It’s the size of a Glock 43 so it conceals very well. However, it weighs about as much as a Glock 19. Those few extra ounces really make the Honor Guard a dream to shoot at the range. The Honor Guard Subcompact is not a bargain pistol. Its fit and finish are on par with pedigree brands such as Sig and H&K. However its price makes the gun easily attainable. There are well thought-out details all over this pistol. It’s very obvious that this pistol was well- engineered. It was not thrown together as a “me too” Single Stack Nine. One of the gun’s highlights are its unique and superior stippling. Its a unique stippling pattern that makes the gun easy to hold on to. Yet, it won’t shred your skin during concealed carry. Plus the stippling goes all the way up over the trigger guard! This nice shooter definitely deserves consideration for your next concealed carry pistol. Honor Guard HolstersCaliber: 9mm Kahr CT9Many people love Kahr pistols for very good reasons. They are known for quality single stack pistols like the Kahr CT9. The CT9 is part of their value series line. The value series line offers pistols with less machining and a few changes on the internals that save the customer money. They are presented as equally reliable and a little less pretty. If you’ve fired one Kahr, you know how most of them shoot. They have a double action trigger akin to a very smooth revolver trigger. This makes a manual safety unnecessary to most shooters. This adds to Kahr’s other big draw: They are easy to operate. Because Kahr loves to produce slim pistols, they are very easy to conceal. A pistol this thin that still manages to hold 8+1 rounds of 9mm is impressive. Kahr CT9 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Kahr CT380The Kahr CT 380 is very similar to the great CT9; just a bit smaller. However, as long as your mitts aren’t large, you can get all 3 fingers on the grip. This 380 can work as a pocket pistol if your pockets aren’t small. However, it can hide exceptionally well in an IWB holster. The sights are pretty good for being on a small 380 too. Caliber: 380ACP Kahr CT380 HolstersKahr CW380The Kahr CW380 is slightly smaller than the CT380. It’s about the same size as the Ruger LCP. It has acceptable sights for a pocket gun and the trigger is the same typical Kahr trigger that many people like. It’s small enough that if this gun is in your arsenal, you never have an excuse to leave the house unarmed. Kahr CW380 HolstersCaliber: 380ACP Kahr PM9The Kahr PM9 is one of the best 9mm pistols Kahr has to offer. It’s fit and finish are excellent, it’s small enough to pocket carry if so desired & it’s lightweight. Another great feature of the PM9 is how accurate it is (Due to its polygonal rifling). It really is a high quality pistol that’s small enough to conceal in just about any type of clothing. Kahr PM9 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Ruger LCRRuger broke tradition with this one. The Ruger LCR was the first revolver offered with a polymer frame. It’s available in many different calibers and a couple of different barrel lengths. The snub nose version (in just about any caliber it’s offered in) makes a mighty fine Concealed Carry companion. It works great in your pocket or in a belt holster for many reasons. First, it shoots pretty well due to its cushiony grip. Second, it’s very light weight (at 13 ounces, it weighs barely more than the giant phone in your pocket). Finally, it also includes Ruger’s well known reliability. This is a modern revolver built specifically for Concealed Carry and Ruger really knocked it out of the park. Ruger LCR HolstersCaliber: 38+P Ruger LC9The Ruger LC9 is very popular for Concealed Carry. It’s about the same size as the S&W M&P Shield and Springfield Armory XDs, about as reliable, around the same price, and has the same 7 round capacity. One draw though is that it’s about 6 ounces lighter than the XDs and a couple of ounces lighter than the ever popular M&P Shield. The newer “Pro” versions have a better trigger than the original versions if you’re looking to pick one up. Ruger LC9 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Ruger sr9cThe Ruger SR9c is a fairly popular pistol. It is a beautifully designed pistol with great ergonomics that holds 10 +1 rounds of 9mm. There are many compact double stack 9mm pistols available on the market today. What would make you choose the SR9c? Sometimes you have to hold a few of them to see which one fits your hand best. Maybe you prefer Ruger because of their built-tough reputation. Whatever reason you choose to pick up this pistol over its competition, you’ll find many people in the same camp. Ruger SR9c HolstersCaliber: 9mm Ruger RAP 9mm CompactThe Ruger American Compact Pistol is the latest and greatest for Concealed Carriers from Ruger. It’s a shortened version of the full-sized Ruger American Pistol. This is the one Ruger fans have been waiting for. The Ruger American touts a better trigger and better ergonomics than the SR9. The recoil-reducing barrel cam should make trips to the range a little more pleasant. It has replaceable grip modules to fit different hand sizes and genuine Novak sights as well. The Ruger American is a great pistol from a great company. It looks pretty mean too (not that looks have anything to do with concealment). Ruger American Compact Pistol HolstersCaliber: 9mm Ruger LCPThe Ruger LCP just might be the most popular pocket pistol on the market. It’s usually the smallest one you’ll see in any list of the best Concealed Carry guns as well. It fits in the palm of your hand while managing to pack the punch of a .380 acp round. The .380 acp isn’t incredibly powerful but it’s more powerful than it used to be. New .380 acp ammo is showing some promising improvements in stopping power. Many people trust a little .380 for self-defense & many people have successfully used the .380 for self-defense. The LCP has proven to be very reliable. The LCP is so easy to conceal that you’ll never have to leave the house without having some sort of firearm with you. Even if it’s not as powerful as a 9mm. There’s a new version called the LCP II. The first thing most will notice about the latest version: better sights and ergonomics. In addition, this version has a slide-lock on the last round. Ruger LCP HolstersCaliber: 380ACP S&W J FrameThe little S&W J Frame revolver has been around for decades. They’ve been around for so long that gangsters in black & white movies would pull them out of nowhere to strike fear in people. The J Frame makes an excellent pocket gun. Its curvy body is a little less noticeable in your pants than a blocky pocket pistol. Another factor making it great for Concealed Carry is how insanely reliable they are. When you press the bang switch, you’re almost guaranteed to hear a bang. They’re lightweight and hold 5 rounds of .38 special +P (some argue that it’s pretty close to 9mm in stopping power). S&W J Frame HolstersCaliber: 38+P S&W M&P9cThe S&W M&P9c was designed to be highly ergonomic and S&W surpassed their goal on this one. It feels incredibly good in your hand and the replaceable back straps make them even more ergonomic than they already are. Another win…it shoots good too. They’re highly reliable & accurate. Also, it’s worth noting that this compact gun manages to pack in 12+1 capacity. The M&P series pistols have a very loyal following that absolutely swears by these pistols. I can see why. S&W M&P9c HolstersCaliber: 9mm S&W M&P ShieldThe Smith & Wesson M&P Shield is a real blockbuster. S&W has sold over a million of them. It is very likely the most popular single stack pistol in the market. This little single stack pistol is incredibly thin and feels amazing in your hand. The Shield is impossible to detect when properly concealed. Did I mention that it’s dead reliable too? Another reason for the Shield’s popularity: price. It’s a top shelf pistol that can be found NIB as low as $375. S&W M&P Shield HolstersCaliber: 9mm S&W M&P BodyguardThe S&W M&P Bodyguard is a little .380 (about the size of the LCP) and weighs a scant 12 ounces. It’s S&W’s answer to the LCP. Some say it’s better because of its better sights and slide-lock feature. However, the LCP Gen 2 now has those features. Still some people prefer S&W over Ruger. It really depends on which one feels better in your hand. The Bodyguard has been received well by reviewers who say reliability is top notch. S&W M&P Bodyguard HolstersCaliber: 380ACP Sccy CPXSccy CPX is an American Gun Company with just 2 pistols in their lineup. The CPX-1 (with safety) and CPX-2 (no safety) are both 9mm pistols with a double action trigger (very similar to a revolver). The CPX is a very decent pistol which can be found for $250. It’s lightweight and small enough to easily conceal. In addition, it fits the hand fairly well because of its integrated finger grooves. 10 years ago, it was hard to find a good pistol for less than $300-$400. Because of pistols like the CPX, it’s a little easier today. Sccy CPX HolstersCaliber: 9mm Sig P238Sig Sauer offered the Sig P238 to the market for those who wanted a small Sig pistol. It’s a very small, metal-framed pistol with a capacity of 6 rounds. It brings the full quality of the Sig Sauer brand to the micro gun niche. It shoots incredibly well due to its Single Action trigger. It’s usually carried cocked and locked like a 1911 pistol. If that’s your preferred manual of arms, this is the micro pistol for you. Due to its extra weight, it shoots much better than similarly sized polymer pistols. Sig P238 HolstersCaliber: 380ACP Sig P938The Sig P938 was introduced by Sig Sauer to offer a slightly bigger version of the P238 in order to support the 9mm cartridge. It has the same great trigger and a metal frame. It’s ergonomics and balance feel really good in the hand. Although it’s very small for a 9mm, the extra weight makes shooting it a little easier than small polymer guns. Sig P938 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Sig P320 CompactWe sell an enormous amount of our Kydex holsters for the Sig P320 Compact. It’s very similar in size to the Glock 19. There’s barely enough room to get all your fingers on the grip. This makes it easy to conceal while still giving you full control during rapid fire. The quality on this one is absolutely top notch and it has stunningly good looks. While it does feel a bit top heavy, you’d be hard-pressed to find a pistol that can match this level of ergonomics. These pistols feel absolutely amazing in your hand. In addition, they are fairly light weight for their size which aids your Concealed Carry efforts. The P320 Compact really shines at the range. One of the main reasons these things are selling like hotcakes is because of the sweet trigger and superior handling. Shooting this heater is an absolute joy. Sig P320 Compact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Sig P320 SubcompactThe Sig P320 Subcompact is a smaller version of the P320 Compact. All of the reasons that make the P320 Compact so popular are the same reasons the P320 Subcompact is such a qualified shooter. It shoots and handles great. The smaller grip on this one feels surprisingly good for its paltry size. It’s so concealable, I often pick this one up before I reach for a single stack like the Glock 43. A big surprise here is that it holds 12+1 rounds while being only slightly bigger than single stack 9mm pistols. Sig P320 Subcompact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Sig P229The Sig P229 has been used by FBI, DEA, ICE, the Secret Service and many smaller federal agencies. And for good reason. It just works. It’s heavy enough to produce fast follow up shots. Yet it’s not quite heavy enough to cause fatigue by the end of the day. You can bet your ammo stockpile on the fact that the FBI tested the P229 5x further than it needed to be tested too. To say that it’s highly reliable would be a huge understatement. It’s insanely reliable. On top of its reputation for reliability, Sig tacks on great accuracy. Sig owners enjoy great accuracy out of the box with the P229.One more thing can be said about how awesome these pistols are. The fit and finish on the P229 is always top notch. Some may question whether a gun with the size and weight of the P229 belongs on a list of the best Concealed Carry guns. Take my word for it: there’s a ton of these Sigs that are actively carried daily. Sig P229 HolstersCaliber: 9mm, 40, 357 SIG Sig P239The Sig P239 has been around for about 20 years. When a new gun is released by a popular brand, we see a lot of holster sales for that new model. However, there are some pistols like the P239 that see a constant demand for holsters. These pistols are still hugely popular. The P239 was introduced when the U.S. government assaulted our gun rights in the 1990’s and declared that we didn’t have a “need” for magazines holding more than 10 bullets. Back then, it was considered a compact gun. Now, you can find guns with twice the capacity that are about as small and considerably lighter. However, don’t write off the P239 just yet. It’s still a great shooting Sig with great fit & finish, accuracy, and ergonomics. The added weight of the metal frame helps to tame recoil as well. It’s a great Concealed Carry pistol quite simply because it conceals well and shoots great (even if it only holds 8 or 9 rounds). Plus, its compact size really conceals well in a good Kydex Holster. Sig P239 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Cost: $850 Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 SubcompactXD Mod.2 pistols have carved out a niche for themselves in the Concealed Carry market largely on this feature: ergonomics. People love to pick up a pistol and see how well it feels in their hand. The XD Mod.2 pistols deliver on that feature. The pistol uses different types of stippling in different zones of the grip. This makes it easier to hold on to the weapon during rapid fire while still allowing a comfortable grip that’s not too rough on the hands. The XD pistols have always implemented the grip safety (similar to what you’d find on a 1911) feature on their pistols. Some love them while others hate them. I personally see the value in them. I am much less nervous about re-holstering a loaded XD than I am a loaded Glock. You should always re-holster your weapon slowly and cautiously. Always. In addition, your eyes should be laser-locked on the pistol. Sloppy re-holstering is an easy way to get shot in the butt. There are many documented cases of an accidental discharge being caused by a shirt getting into the trigger guard while re-holstering a pistol. The XD line from Springfield Armory makes an accidental discharge a little less likely if you don’t depress the grip safety when you re-holster the pistol. Aside from ergonomics, the XD Mod.2 pistol line has excellent fit & finish, and shoots very well. Also, the Subcompact versions are small enough to conceal easily while still packing in 12 + 1 rounds of 9mm. XD Mod.2 Subcompact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 ServiceThe XD Mod.2 Service pistol is an excellent choice for concealed carry if you can conceal carry a pistol that’s not quite small. It’s about the size of the Glock 19 which is considered the best all-around Concealed Carry pistol by many people. It has a good trigger, excellent sights, & feels amazing in your hand. To top it off, it has top notch reliability. It has the famous XD grip safety and the Mod.2 ergonomics that the Mod.2 is known for. It’s hard to find anything missing from this pistol that you would look for in a self-defense pistol that you’re able to carry around all day. If you’re looking for a smaller or lighter pistol, the Subcompact version will accommodate you. However, the excellent shooting dynamics of the bigger Service pistol will serve you well if you ever have to use your pistol. XD Mod.2 Service HolstersCaliber: 9mm Springfield Armory XDs 3.3”The XDs is a widely popular handgun. It’s consistently in the top 10 gun models that we sell holsters for. It has the same great ergonomics, grip safety, quality, and fit & finish of the bigger XD line while being significantly slimmer (aiding in concealment). It also has great high-visibility sights. The high quality and easy concealment offered by the XDs line justify its popularity. XDs HolstersCaliber: 9mm Springfield Armory XDe”The Springfield Armory XDe is a little bigger than the XDs. It holds one more round too. The biggest difference is of course the hammer instead of a striker. Many shooters prefer and love hammer-fired pistols. The other difference is that the grip safety is gone. It’s been replaced with the manual safety (which doubles as decocker). The XDe shares the same Grip Zone design as the Mod.2 pistols. In fact, from the side it looks like a Mod.2 with a hammer. It’s a great addition to Springfield Armory’s lineup! XDe HolstersCaliber: 9mm Springfield Armory XDm 3.8” CompactThe XDm line adds a few features to the XD pistol that make them great shooters. The 3.8” Compact version is easily concealed while still packing 13+1 rounds of 9mm. It has improved sights and a better barrel than the original XD line too. Another upgrade is the interchangeable back straps that help dial in a tailored ergonomic fit. XDm 3.8 Compact HolstersCaliber: 9mm Taurus 738 TCPThe Taurus TCP is a direct competitor of the class dominating Ruger LCP. It’s almost identical in size. While many people prefer its trigger over the LCP, many others prefer the fit and finish of the LCP. The TCP will generally cost less money though as they can be found for less than 2 bills. That’s a low enough entry price to get a lot of people carrying their first pocket pistol. They work great for a backup pistol or for those days when you want to wear gym shorts. When you have a gun as small as the TCP, you never have a good excuse to leave the house unarmed. Even in gym shorts. Taurus TCP HolstersCaliber: 380ACP Taurus PT111 G2Let me say this about the Taurus PT111 G2. There are a TON of these pistols being used for Concealed Carry. How do I know this? It has consistently been in the top 10 gun models that our customers order holsters for. There are many months that it’s in the top 5. It’s easy to see why. It’s a great pistol. At first glance, you’ll notice it’s a great size for concealed carry. Yet, it still holds 12 rounds of ammo. It feels really good in the hand & it has a good fit & finish. In addition, the striker fired trigger is pretty decent. Many other guns have those excellent qualities too. So why is the Taurus so popular? The answer is quite simple… It can often be found online for $250. It is most likely the best bargain in the entire market right now for a Concealed Carry pistol. It’s hard to see how they’re not losing money on these things. If you’re tight on cash and need a good carry pistol, take a serious look at these. In fact, even if you’re not tight on cash, take a look at them. You may prefer it to some pistols that cost twice the price. Taurus PT111 G2 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Taurus PT709The PT709 is Taurus’ take on the single stack 9mm pistol. They did a great job too. Even better, they can be had for as little as $200 if you find them on sale. They have decent ergonomics and are lightweight. They conceal amazingly well while packing the punch of the 9mm cartridge. While they may not be as sweet of a pistol as a Glock 43 or XDs, they come pretty darn close. And they get pretty darn close for about half the cost. These pistols are a great bargain. It’s nice to have these as an option in the market. It helps to arm good guys who might have otherwise had to save up for months longer to get a good pistol. Taurus PT709 HolstersCaliber: 9mm Walther CCPThe Walther CCP is a fairly popular pistol. It looks and feels great while sporting very similar ergonomics to its much loved PPQ cousin. The CCP features what Walther calls “SoftCoil gas technology” that seems to do a good job at taming recoil. It carries 8 + 1 rounds of 9mm in an easily concealable package. In addition, it’s very slim and trim weighing in at 22 ounces. It goes without saying that it exudes Walther’s legendary quality.
