Your next door neighbour was up all night working using a busted water heater and also you also spent the last half an hour hearing him whine. He had water pouring out of this ceiling, because the water heater was up in the attic over the master bedroom. The unexpected emergency drain pan that has been designed to catch all of the water had been plugged up. His bedroom has been flooded. His bed is wet. The ceiling is falling down. He's tired and cranky from being up forever. Read this: https://www.diena.lv/raksts/citi/reklamraksti/tik-daudz-udens-silditaju-veidu--kurs-labaks-14224508 for details. Step Two. Turn off the gas heading at the valve that connects to the leading of the water-heater to the water heater. Separate the gas line by the water-heater. Step 3. Turn off the water to the water heater or in case the valve isn't currently working turn off the water into your home. It is going to need to be repaired if the valve isn't working. In another article we will talk about just how to change out your valve. Step 4. Disconnect the water lines moving to the tank. The water lines are frequently. Measure 5. Disconnect the vent pipe by the top of the tank. Step 6. Drain the water heater by simply joining a water hose at the bottom of the water-heater to the drain connection. Measure 7. Lower the oldwater heater down the loft staircase with your very good rope as well as your friends help. This is probably the most dangerous components of the entire project. Please be mindful to not hurt anyone, including your self. Measure 8. Raise your new tank in to the attic exactly the same way you have the old one out. Step 9. Put in to the drain pan and inspect for holes at the pan . Step 10. Reconnect the water lines and gas lines and port exactly the way you took them. Measure 1 1. Your water heater is now installed and you are ready to show on the water. Take your friend remain in the loft though you turn the water slowly, to look at for leaks. Look at each connection that you just made and look for leaks. If you see a flow make certain that you tighten this up. Do not tighten this up so hard it breaks a fitting. Turn on the water onto the hot side and bleed all of the air from water lines and the water heater. Run the water in the tub until water comes out clean and clear with no air pops. Measure 12. Twist on the gas. Take a way of water ready to ensure that you can pour water over the petrol fittings to check for leaks. If you see bubbles you have a leak. Turn off the gas and repair the leak until you do other things. Measure 13. Now you can turn on the gas and light the pilot based on the manufacturers instructions, after you've confirmed that there are not any leaks. The guidelines on lighting the pilot tend to be hidden on the front of the water heating system. When you have trouble you can call the help line that is usually provided on the front of the heater. Step 14. Share a drink of your choice together with your friend that will help you out because he deserves it and so would you. This part is required and not negotiable. Enjoy your brand new water heater and the satisfaction you've got in doing it yourself.
