People who contemplate buying a trained guard dog for sale are often concerned about their aggression level. This is normal because most guard dogs are portrayed in the media as mean and hard to control, which is very far from the truth. In fact, well-trained dogs easily take commands when they are given by their owners. However, owners must also know how to give attack commands the right way.
Dog owners who are struggling to teach or command their dogs should following the following tips:
1 - Develop A Bond
Before any owner can demand their guard dogs to obey their commands they must first form a close bond. A bond encourages trust and loyalty with the dog and their human and it makes giving orders easier. Such things as spending time with your dog in a room where you do most of your daily activities intensify the bond. Daily walks and a 20-30 minute playtime is also a good way to form a close relationship.
Most of all, reward your guard dog when have followed your commands. This encourages them to obey your commands because they know they will be rewarded for their efforts.
2 - Protective Gear
Once a bond has been established, it is time to start the training. First, get your protective gear together to prevent any accidents that may harm you or your trained guard dog for sale. A bite sleeve that covers the entire arm is one of the basic and most effective protective gear in the market that every attack dog owner must have.
3 - Start With Simple Commands
Don’t expect your dog to follow complicated commands such as "attack" right off the bat. Training is all about starting with the easiest tasks until they are ready for more complicated commands. Train your guard dog to follow basic commands such as sit, stand, and stop. Once they have become familiar with following your commands you can gradually work in more complicated demands such as fetch and stay.
4 - Attack Training
Once your dog has mastered the first simple commands they are ready for attack training. The best way to do this is to tell them to sit, make them sit still and tap their face using the protective attack sleeve. Sooner or later they will feel agitated and become angry. As soon as they show signs of attacking the sleeve, yell "attack". Continue to do this exercise for at least a few weeks until your guard dog finally understands the word can begin to attack upon command.
Treat Dogs With Love And Respect
Guard dogs are very smart and intuitive creatures. When trained properly and show kindness, love, and respect for their owners their loyalty will not waver. If at first, it seems like a challenge to give them commands, take a step back. Do not get angry, be patient. They will eventually understand what you want them to do. Reward them for their efforts to make them understand their good work comes with a prize.
