2. Go for Walks
By going out for a walk, your companion dog can get the exercise that they need for their legs. However, you have to make sure that you balance the amount of time that you spend with them for walks. A short-legged or small dog shouldn’t walk as far as larger dogs do. The nose of your dog should also be taken into consideration when pacing their walk.
3. Play Games
If walking your dog isn’t an option, then you can play games with them. Find out what games stimulates your dog. In fact, most games could potentially enhance the senses of your dog. A good game of fetch could train their eyes to lock on something while coordinating their neck and legs to follow where it’s going. Figure out what you and your dog enjoy both.
4. Go to the Dog Park

You can give them human affection at home, but it’s still healthier for them to be able to interact with other dogs at the dog park. 5. Cool Down Properly
Make sure that your dog cools down properly after a walk or whatever exercise that you decide to let them do. All the pent-up energy when you hype them up during a walk should go somewhere. Let them lose their steam by playing a game that doesn’t require too much energy then monitor their breathing to see if they’ve already calmed down.
