The heat energy of induction heating is produced directly inside the heated steel bar. At the same time, the heating speed is not a constant because of the physical properties of the material. When heated by electromagnetic induction, the temperature rises much faster than that heated by fuel, which plays an important role in the phase transition process. One of the characteristics is the impact on the critical point of steel. The process of transformation from pearlite to austenite during quenching for steel bars by induction heating equipment is similar to that of other heat treatment. A section of horizontal or inclined line is recorded on the heating kinetics curve, which is equivalent to a period when the transformation is intense. The starting point of transformation and the process of transformation can be judged according to the temperature and the time remaining in the transformation stage. A horizontal (step) line indicates that the pearlite transforms into austenite at a certain superheat, and the faster the heating rate is, the higher the step temperature is. The step on the heating curve is the critical point Ac1. The heating temperature is higher than the critical temperature because the heating speed is fast and the heating time is short, the austenite grain will not grow up strongly.
