Differences between a jogging stroller and a regular stroller |
Posted: March 22, 2019 |
A jogging stroller is different from a regular stroller in its features and functionalities. Let’s have a look at these differences. Regular strollers aren't designed to handle jogging or running. The small wheels of a regular stroller are not capable enough to deal with the bounces and twists during a run. The suspension and braking system of a regular stroller are designed for casual walks only. They can’t handle jogs or runs. So, using a regular stroller for jogging is harmful and dangerous for your child. On the other hand, jogging strollers have large air filled tires. These tires are sturdy like bicycle tires. They facilitate easy maneuvering of the stroller on all kinds of terrain. The large air filled tires not only decrease the bumpiness of uneven surfaces, but also helps the stroller roll over the surface easily. Thus requiring less pushing effort. Jogging strollers also have good suspension and shocks to provide your kid a smooth and safe ride. The 5 point safety harness and hand brakes provide extra safety. There are many different models of jogging strollers on the market. If you're a regular jogger, go for a heavy duty jogging stroller with bigger wheels and good suspension system. And, make sure it has good safety features such as a 5 point harness and hand brakes. If you're an occasional jogger, go for a lighter jogging stroller. It will be less expensive and easy to handle for casual jogs. In short, it’s not safe to use a regular stroller for jogging or running. If you want to take your kid out for a jog, you should use a jogging stroller.
