Philips Smart LED Bulb Review |

Philips had made with Xiaomi in the form of LED bulb and today I will summarize my impressions after trying this new device that has been added to my more than 40 gadgets in the MiJia platform. First of all we must remember the technical specifications of this bulb, which for those who do not remember them are summarized in the following:
Given its specifications, we can already talk about what the data do not capture. To begin with, after a first glance at the LED bulb, it is evident that its size is much smaller than the already known Yeelight, approximately 1 cm shorter, with what will look better in our lamps. On the other hand, if we take a model of each, it gives the impression that the plastic used in the Philips bulb is of lower quality, both in the body and in the upper sphere. If we place it in one of our home lamps, we will soon realize that the color of the LEDs in the Philips bulb have a much stronger yellow color than the one that gives us the Yeelight RGB bulbs. The operation of these bulbs is really simple, just put it in our lamp, turn on and we are ready to link it to our Mi account through the Mi Home app. After linking it is downloaded the typical plugin, which this time comes in English, as happened with other products that Philips has in this platform. The use through the app does not have many complications, we have a main screen from which we handle the most common aspects, on and off, amount of light emitted and color of it, predefined scenes and the timer off. Through the upper menu we will have access to the programming of the bulb, being able to establish some schedules of on and off. Also we will be able to realize our intelligent scenes, like good device MiJia, being able this way to link it with other devices to activate the ignition and extinguishing of the bulb, the change of temperature or its emitted power among other things. As we can see, it is an LED bulb like the ones we usually have at home but with the peculiarity of being able to perform actions on it wirelessly. That if, the key of the light of our room must be activated, given that if we close that key, the bulb will not have flow of current and therefore the application will show us that the state of the bulb is "Offline", not being able to make any action on this one. The latter could be solved through the use of Aqara switches. Something that I have not found is a basic setting in this type of bulb, the configuration of the predefined state in case the light goes out. I explain, how we must leave the key of our house activated to be able to handle it wirelessly, when the light of our house goes out for whatever reason, when the light comes back again, the bulb gets current so it understands that it must be turned on. This in Yeelight bulbs can be adjusted so that if this happens, the bulb does not light, however, in the Philips bulb there is no section where to make this adjustment, so our bulb will turn on and remain in that state until the moment we get home and turn it off, unless we enter the Mi Home app and see that we have connected devices that should not be. As for its brightness and color, as I said before, if we lower its color temperature to 3000K, has for my taste a very yellow color and we will have a feeling of low brightness. However, if we raise its temperature to 5000K will emit a perfectly white light. The power in none of the cases is sufficient to illuminate a room with a single bulb, at least to illuminate in good conditions. For that we must have at least 3 bulbs for a room of about 10 square meters. In that case, we will be able to group bulbs as if they were only one, this way we will realize the action of ignition and extinguished or any other on the whole group, without needing to go one to one modifying the values. As we see the Philips Smart LED Bulb offers us some decent features at a lower cost than the Yeelight, which can do together with the reputation of the manufacturer that many decide for this model of intelligent bulb.
