Content is love, content is life! You might be wondering who said that in the first place, right? Well, that comes from my personal admiration of content pieces and how effectively can be used to entice the readers. Starting from something informal like a blog, all the way to technical and academic writing, content serves a wide number of purposes while keeping the audiences fulfilled. The modern world mostly employees online content optimization techniques in relevance to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices. Well, content in actuality acts as the building blocks behind any and every SEO success. Whether you are a casual blogger, a YouTube fanatic, or you prefer employing your expertise towards academic writing, you need to create effective content. To help you in this very quest i.e. the goal to create awesome and note-worthy content, I have compiled a list of effective steps that you can take to improve your content as well as create better content in the first place. so without further ado, let us begin our quest for perfection! Be Original! You might have heard this one time and time again, but let me reinforce that even further. YOU HAVE TO BE ORIGINAL, always. Now the first thing that might come to your mind is that the content you create has to be original. Yes, this is quite true but originality extends towards many more domains than just this. To be successful, you need to create an original stance of your own. Your style needs to be original and you, so that your audience might be able to identify your writing. Once you have adopted a style of your own, a stance that defines you and flows that is original to you, your writing becomes much more relatable. Be relatable! As hinted under the previous heading, you want to be relatable if you want your audiences to stick with you for the long haul. Depending on the type of writing, you wish to become an expert on (usually the type that earns you a livelihood), try to identify who your target audiences are. Relevant knowledge is exceedingly important to make your mark. For instance, Local Cable Deals, an internet service provider targets internet-savvy audiences through their content pieces that in turn promote their business. Know your readers are and how they spend their daily lives. Once you get a hang of it, you can add certain elements of connectivity to your writing to help them relate. For instance, you can add examples from your own life, the market you engage with for business activities or the people you come across during your various exploits. Strong headlines are the way to go! A strong headline is bound to draw more traffic your way since it entices the users to click on your links while ensuring that they do give your writing a minute or two, if not more. Statistically, 80% of the overall traffic focuses on your headlines while a mere 20% reads through the rest of the content. This clearly indicates the type of focus you need to exert towards your headings. Your fingers might be typing gold, literally, but if you fail to grasp the attention of your target audiences, then all the gold goes to dust. Reinforce actions! A good read is one thing, but a good read that actually urges you to act in a certain direction could be THE THING. Once you get acquainted with your audience, you want to help them through your writing. Once they understand the benefits that stem from your writing, they will always come back wanting for more. To achieve this state, you want your content to be actionable. There is a reason why people prefer going through guides. It helps them understand the mechanics of various things. I can easily recall that the last time I had an issue to resolve (which was just a couple of days ago), I went through a guide to help me fix my phone. Actionable writing is bound to attract wider traffic. Just make sure that the info your providing is relevant and up-to-date, otherwise that might leave a bad impression on your readers. Be honest and accurate! Heed my advice as this will help you throughout your writing career, JUST STAY HONEST. These capital letters are simply to reinforce my claim if you are wondering. Dishonesty in this career might give you a boost for a short term, but once your readers know the facts, they might end up hating you. Whenever you state facts, make sure to present them the way they actually are and always try to cite the actual source you took those from. The right technique is to build on these stats and facts rather than overstating things to attract masses. Remember that you want to form relationship with your readers for the long haul rather than just an overnight fling. Being honest will help you form the right impression. Don’t be hesitant in presenting your own stance though since you want to present a stance particularly if you are writing for a blog. Following these rules will most definitely help you in establishing yourself as a writer. Staying true to these rules helped me a lot in my writing career and I hope you will be able to reap similar benefits from these as well. You might have noticed that I didn’t particularly discuss adding creating in your content. The truth is that every writer has their very own flair and adding that individual essence to your writing automatically brings in creativity. Stay strong and hone your own writing essence and gradually audiences will be inclined to know your say!
