During the renaissance period, a lot of artists have emerged because it’s been a hobby of people back then to casually paint something such as sceneries and usually, portraits of people. There are also some painters who create something with hidden meaning on it. That is why it’s very interesting to study and know their secrets, which is what Robert Langdon is doing on the film with the title “The Da Vinci Code”. Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most iconic painters back then because of their numerous creations that captured the interest of people. In the film, two of them are shown and investigated by the main protagonist, namely, Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. The Painting’s Secrets Revealed Religion is a big thing to people and we all have different ideals regarding Gods and faith. In Roman Catholic, everything is based from the Bible, where the story of Jesus is found. In the creation of Da Vinci, Last Supper, it shows the dinner of Jesus with his 12 apostles before his sufferings. Robert Langdon investigated the painting and depicted that there are only 11 disciples on the picture and the 12th person is Mary Magdalene, who is sitting beside Jesus. Based from the movie on solarmovie, it shows that Judas, who betrayed Jesus, didn’t go to the supper because he was with the executioners. Another theory mentioned is that Mary Magdalene is in a relationship with Jesus, making her appearance significant. Another work of Leonardo is Mona Lisa, a portrait of a woman. Even though it was simply seen as a portrait, a lot of things were mentioned about this mysterious painting, like the mysterious smile she has is a smile directed to the painter, meaning that they have a certain connection or relationship. Another theory mentioned about this portrait is that it was a portrait of Da Vinci himself as a woman and the scenery behind her shows the percentage of how he sees himself. The mystery behind the paintings are still a mystery for the scholars today, even if the film somehow depicted some of its meanings. It’s quite an interesting research to do because you might tackle some concepts or ideas that are new. Perhaps Da Vinci would like to explain it himself on the afterlife and laugh at the theories people are creating. , it shows that Judas, who betrayed Jesus, didn’t go to the supper because he was with the executioners.
