Juhan Suits ( Juss ) - Estonian bagpipes, wooden horn, whistle, vocal, jew's harp. Ayarkhaan's performances on the khomus an instrument that was said to have been made by gods and possess a magical voice - are inspired by a tradition that has been handed down for centuries but also reflects modern musical thinking. Throughout the Russian Federation, scholars, critics and concert-goers alike have hailed Ayarkhaan as the vanguard sound of the Yakut khomus, an instrument whose tonal versatility and acoustic resonance is at once capable of evoking the sound of a cello, a saxophone, or an electric guitar while occupying a sonic space that is ancient, transcendent and utterly unique. The CD consists of two parts. The first one is mostly the result of collaborative work of Valentina Suzukei, PhD, one of the leading Tuvan ethnomusicologists and Tuvan khomus music specialists, with Leo Tadagawa, the Head of the Nihon Koukin Kyoukai (Japan Jew's Harp Association). The recordings of various types of khomus music, performed by the masters of different generations, were made in July 2010 in Kyzyl. Here the appropriateness of the khomus to the music theme plays a great role. Thus, for imitating a cuckoo, a lark, saying the words of a song it is good to use a khomus with a relatively low basic sound. For fast modern music it is better to use a khomus with a short tongue, i.e. a high sound. For the wind imitation you need a khomus with a very sensitive tongue, which sounds from the person's breath. To manufacture our range of extremely attractive musical Instruments, we have backed ourselves with a world class manufacturing unit. Very shortly, we will be converting this unit into a fully automatic one. Further, through our wide spread networking web, we are catering to the requirements of national and international clients from Europe, Russia, North America, Australia, South America & Asia. Both sides of a Nightingale brass harmonica are shown here. A metal reed would have fit inside this instrument. Excessively fast or hard playing may bend the upright tang of the blade and this will change the pitch of the harp (lower). Do not attempt to bend it back without heating it to red and bending hot by using pliers otherwise it will easily snap off. We will be learning all those crazy tricks and effects you've maybe seen on YouTube but will also be learning how to play in various styles and on several different sorts of instrument, including some pretty rare ones. The majority of the Jew's Harps are found in rubbish heaps and down wells, obviously discarded as useless. Jew's Harps were not only present in the North American colonies, they were being used, and broken, in substantial numbers. The UNESCO commission has included the production of the Schwarz Jaws harp in the Austrian Intangible Cultural Heritage List. With this quality of craftmanship, the Schwarz family ist the last full-time manufacturer to proudly export its products to 40 countries around the world, preserving the Jaws harp for posterity. The instrument has been dated to the first half of the 10th century, which makes it the oldest ever dug up in Japan, and according to the Japan Jew's Harp Association (because of course there is one) press release , the oldest dug up anywhere in the world. This is surprising, but I see no real reason to doubt them. khomus meditation how to play a jew's harp khomus cena
