Sidestepping the mad Islamists for an additional (mainly, however not limited to Wahhabi's and Salafi's), let us think that Pipes is talking about any and all Muslims here. Again, is he inferring that anyone who feels in a system of laws centered on Islamically perfect maxims are actively seeking to displace Constitutional laws with Islamic laws? Does he think that there is nothing related or suitable about Western Democratic rule of legislation and Islamic shabe barat
I would argue that any true Islamic state, whether democracy, theocracy, or theomocracy*, wouldn't only need a structure, but would need one to keep in respect with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I am not sure if Daniel Pipes does not know, or forgot when writing that article, but history agrees that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had established a social agreement (and is not that what a constitution essentially is?) for the citizens of Medina after he was asked to Medina in 622CE.Read ahead on your own today and inform me if you believe, on the basis of the old evidence, a state whose laws are derived from Islamic principles are incompatible with a constitution.
The Slim Towards the conclusion of the fifth century, Jewish tribes of Yathrib* missing control of the city to two incoming Arab tribes from Yemen, the Banu Aus and Banu Khazraj. The opposite Arabs and Jews warred for 120 years. Following the conflicts, the Jewish population lost and were put through become Clients of the Arab tribes. The Jewish tribes soon began a revolt that culminated with the Battle of Bu'ath in 620 C.E. This conflict included all of the clans and tribes in Yathrib. Following the conflict, both sides agreed they needed a single power to arbitrate situations if these were to actually keep longstanding peace. In 620CE, a delegation from the 12 most significant clans of Medina went along to Mecca to ask Muhammad because the basic party had a need to function as fundamental arbitrator for the city. Muhammad recognized, and in 622 the whole Muslim populace of Mecca, accompanied by Muhammad (pbuh), emigrated in what became referred to as the Hijrah.
