Top Level PR - Thank you |
Posted: March 3, 2016 |
Top Level PR is a small crowdfunding agency that I worked with during my Kickstarter campaign earlier this year. I must say my experience with them has been phenomenal. The reason why I would highly recommend them is probably not the reason you’d think. It’s not because Top Level PR raised me a 100K overnight or anything. Don’t get me wrong, they did deliver on what they said they’d do, and it did lead to a lot more funding. But the main reason I’d be willing to recommend them to my friends and family is because Top Level PR seemed to be the only crowdfunding service that wouldn’t sugar coat anything.
Working with the Top Level PR team felt like working with close friends. They were fun and pleasant to work with, but when it came to the serious stuff they always gave me the straight answers. Top Level PR wants you to succeed, even if that means rocking the boat a little bit. For example, they told me what I needed to change on my project and why I needed to change it etc. It didn’t matter if I spent an hour writing the perks out, they would review everything exactly which parts needed a face lift. I liked the honesty and frankly I could tell that ther PR team knew what they were doing.
Compare this with what I experienced with another marketing service I used. Although they were cheaper than Top Level PR (I guess you get what you pay for!) the experience was totally different from the very beginning. Unlike Top Level PR, the cheaper service sent my a generic “sign up now” message on my project. I should have known better. Meanwhile, a PR expert at Top Level PR actually reviewed my project personally and asked me to give her a call! When I called her up, guess what? She answered the phone and knew all about my project. She was very excited to speak to me and I could tell that they loved my product.
Top Level PR’s staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Within a couple days of enrolling I could feel the energy of their team preparing a big PR launch for me. Then when it was time to start pitching my project to all the best media contacts everything happened very quickly. Within hours I started being featured on popular blogs. I even got some huge shoutouts from big social media influencers (these are people that have large followings on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Instagram etc). This really started to bring in the funding.
I eventually did hit my funding goal within just 23 days (out of 30), and I overfunded by an extra 18%. But here’s why I’m thanking Top Level PR: they did exactly what they said they’d do, and on the timeframe which they told me it would happen. That was hugely important for me because the main reason why I hired Top Level PR was because my project was starting to stall. So in the end it really worked out well, and again I wanted to do a guest post on my blog to thank Top Level PR for the work and for their dedication in helping me succeed on Kickstarter.
