My massage therapist tells me he gets clients online too. I found him myself through a keyword search, then went to his website. We had a brief exchange of emails and then I booked an appointment. That was over a year ago and I'm now a regular. What gives people the confidence to trust strangers with these personal services? If you think about it, you're taking almost as big a risk when you hire a personal service as when you get into a car with a stranger. The reason is that a service business can generate enormous credibility online. Many professionals think they have to write all their own content to come across as authentic and sincere, but in fact, a trained copywriter knows exactly how to create a strong, reassuring chatting with strangers presence. To take just one example, most experienced service professionals can get testimonials easily. But most testimonials just don't sound convincing or credible until you've applied some copywriting techniques. Communicate an understanding of what your clients really need. The expression "I feel your pain" has become trite but prospects really want to believe that you are familiar with their challenges and can help them. You can incorporate phrases and paragraphs that let prospects get a sense of the depth of your knowledge. For instance, one professional writes, "I keep learning new techniques. I attend professional development workshops nearly every month." He then gives examples of some of his most recent trainings.
