Beating The System Legally |
Posted: March 28, 2020 |
More and more we seem to live in a society in which the system seems to be poised against the everyman, the laws may as well be written by the great corporations for which we work and from whom we purchase almost everything. Finding loopholes within this system in which we can find some benefit has become incredibly common practice, everyone knows someone who has their tricks or tactics for avoiding or gaining something back from a society which seems to take more than it gives. One of the most commonly accused frauds in such a society would have to be insurance companies, making money from what might or what could happen seems like a total scam, until a sinkhole appears on your property and swallows half of your garage. Now, to most people, sinkholes can seem like a total non-issue; but to residents of the Sunshine State of Florida they’ve become a common but unwelcome problem. Everyone seems to have had to discuss with their family and community about what is the best sinkhole insurance in Florida. First thing to be considered is whether your property is in one of the hotspots, or the ‘Sinkhole Valley’, as the professionals have now donned it. More information can be found in this great National Geographic article: Florida Sinkholes. Of course, sinkholes aren’t the only problems to plague residents throughout Florida, the hurricanes that can hit during August and September tear through neighborhoods causing storm damage the likes of which many have never seen. Roofs torn off houses from the strong winds, fences strewn across yards like toothpicks, and umbrellas relocated to the neighboring counties. Knowing that all these are possibilities, it can only seem wise to consider comprehensive insurance plans to at least have some reassurance that it won’t break the bank when the time comes to clean it all up. Another common issue throughout the humid state of Florida is mold, which many people may not notice prior to moving into their new home that came at such a great price. Not only can mold cause structural problems, but it can also cause health problems for yourself and your family. Often treating mold damage in a home is taken extremely lightly, with some contractors only painting over the issue, fixing nothing. If you’ve recently discovered mold in your house, don’t wait for the problem to persist, and as a homeowner it's your responsibility to try and control further loss by reporting a mold damage claim as soon as possible. So back to the matter at hand, how can we ensure that we have the correct insurance plan which can cover these problems which seem to be occurring more and more often; and most importantly: how can we know that our insurance claim won’t be denied? Well you can do your research into various companies and their policies, but no one has the time to read through the terms and conditions of every company one might consider. Many people in this day and age of random calamities are opting for public adjusters. A public adjuster is a professional claims handler who advocates for the policyholder negotiating a claimant's insurance claim. Their technical expertise and ability to interpret the ambiguous wording in insurance policies allow property owners to receive the maximum amount of compensation for their claims. Simply put, a public adjuster is a representative of the policyholder who advises, manages, and submits a claim to the policyholder's insurance company. These are the people who can help you get the most out of your insurance company, they will do all the hard yards and make sure you get the maximum amount for your claim. They seem to be the best offense in the game of cat and mouse insurance companies can play with the legal terms they use in their documentation. Considering we all know someone who has lost a battle with their insurance company, or maybe not received their full amount; this can be a life-changer. Finally we have a way that we can use the system to our advantage, a public adjuster can even show you how to get insurance to pay for water damage. Now, doing my due diligence, I asked around my community for any recommendations on who they used; as well as checking on their advised adjusters backgrounds through the Better Business Bureau. What I eventually came across was this company https://www.flbestpublicadjusters.com/, who have offices throughout the State from Jacksonville way up north, to Fort Myers on the South West Coast. Thankfully the Florida's Best Public Adjusters website has a profile page, in which you can choose an adjuster to suit you, check their legitimacy through a service such as the Better Business Bureau (although the company itself has an A+ rating from BBB), and even contact them directly if you feel the need. This all sounds great, but the defining factor in why I chose this company was their one simple policy: ‘If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid!’. I don’t know any other companies which can offer this, along with no upfront cost. They also offer a free claim analysis through their website which can be accessed through clicking ‘Claim Registration’. As well as offering the service of reviewing denied or underpaid claims, utilizing knowledgeable attorneys they work alongside daily, these services come at no cost prior to accepting your claim. I strongly believe that Florida’s Best Public Adjusters are the best option when it comes to making sure your investments are insured safely, they provide the best service in protecting you against the tricky ways of insurance providers. I’d especially like to thank the expert public adjuster team that helped me in Orlando, getting me a fair compensation for the mold and leaky roof damage I didn’t notice until weeks after moving into my house. They walked me through every step of the process, lived up to their promises and were extremely professional from the get go. I hope this article has been helpful for anyone who has had woes with their insurance companies, or anyone who hopes to get the most out of the insurance companies they might use in the future
